Our Mission
To approach the language, literature, cultural history, and art of Eastern countries with an interdisciplinary perspective; to train analytically and critically thinking individuals with high cultural awareness who are well-equipped at both national and international levels; and to contribute to the academic and cultural development of our country by supporting scientific studies in this field.
Our Vision
To be an internationally competent, scientifically productive, innovative and qualified education and research centre in the field of Eastern languages, literatures and cultures. To educate individuals and scientists who have a voice in national and international platforms, who strengthen intercultural interaction by analysing the linguistic, literary, historical and cultural accumulation of the Eastern world in the light of academic disciplines. At the same time, to contribute to the cultural and academic development of our country by bringing classical and modern sources to the world of science and to become a respected reference point worldwide.
